My mom, aunts, uncles, my cousin (Zach), and I put on a skit for my Opa and Oma (my mom’s parents) for their 30th anniversary. It was sooo funny. We showed how they met, getting married, and then adopting and having their 14 children. I played my aunt, Leeann, as a child. Oma and Opa adopted her when she was almost 5. She is from Korea, but she had been living in a southern state for a while. She learned to speak English there and she had a strong southern accent. My opa is a tall man and when she met him the first thing she said was “My! You’re a big daddy, ain’tcha!?!” I got to say that with a really strong souther drawl. It was soo fun. It was really sweet, touching, and hilarious. I am glad we recorded it so we can have it for a long, long time.
I recited The Caterpillar by Christina G. Rossetti, Work by Anonymous, and Hearts are Like Doors by Anonymous. I said the words perfectly. Mom says I looked so cute because since I was a nervous I was swaying and playing with my skirt. She said I looked adorable. Opa, Oma, Jackie, Tiffany, Sarah, Kim, Josh, Ansumana, Faith, Emily, Grammy, Grampy, and Aunt Sassa all came to see me. And my mom, dad, and brother of course.
Today was Science Center Day (last one for a bit). We talked about forests. Forests have three levels: floor, understory, and canopy. We talked about different animals that live in each part of the forest. We went out and looked at each part of the forest. And we looked at animal tracks and such. We also talked about some special adaptations certain animals have. And why mushrooms and moss are not plants. We talked about consumers (humans, other animals), producers (all plants), and decomposers (mushrooms, mosses…).

We went to a homeschool costume harvest party today. Ryllan was a cowboy and I was Princess Aurora. We had a lot of fun. We played a lot of games. The hardest was trying to catch an apple that was hanging on a string with only our mouths.

I read The Pup Went Up by Mary Blocksma to my mom.
My mom read two books by Lynne Cherry The Great Kopok Tree: A Tale of the Amazon Rain Forest and The Armadillo from Amarillo to Ryllan and me. She also read Sun Song by Susan Scott Sutton to me.
9-18-06: I have a new bed!!!! It is twin-sized. I picked out pink Disney Princesses bedding. I LOVE it. It is very comfortable and I am sleeping better in it than in the toddler bed I had before. Ry has the toddler bed now and he loves it because he feels like a big boy.
It was cool seeing Wesley baptized in Squa Pan Lake today. And we had a picnic and went fising too.
